Info Post

I have to admit, I'm a Facebook nerd. I hang out at Facebook all day since I'm an online freelancer and I have to stay online 24/7 for work. When I'm not checking my bosses' messages at Odesk, I'm chatting with my friends on Facebook and sharing various stuff I found on the net with them.

Being a Facebook nerd, yes, I also search for pages to 'Like' and I also find myself 'Like'-ing some of the pages my FB friends have 'Like'd. Surely, there are a lot of people out there with a Facebook account who do the same thing whenever they see something interesting and intriguing to 'Like' on FB.

Unknowingly, this type of behavior by FB users gave rise to the spread of a Facebook 'Like' worm which, according to Mashable.com, "force users to like the page, thus spreading it inadvertently through postings on Facebook walls.

One perfect example of such Facebook worm is the spread of wall posts for the page: “Shocking! This girl killed herself after her dad posted this photo.” Some users were probably intrigued by the sensational title of the page which made them click the 'Like' link--totally unaware that they already helped in the spread of that Facebook worm.
