Last week, I got an email from McDonald's for a survey they were conducting for their McDonald's delivery clients. One question they asked in the survey was whether I would be willing to pay 40PHP as a standard delivery charge if they would remove their 150PHP minimum food purchase. As someone who would often binge on their to die for McFries and McFlurry, I answered 'Yes'. I thought that paying them a minimum delivery charge would work great for someone who wants McFries or any of the food they are offering for delivery without having to think of the 150PHP minimum food purchase. Instead of spending more just to reach their minimum delivery amount, when all you really need was that mouth-watering McFries goodness, it would be much better if we would just get what we really want. Plus, we wouldn't be obliged to scarf down the other things we ordered that we don't really need just because they're 'sayang'.
This morning, McDonald's sent me an email telling me that beginning today, they're finally getting rid of their 150PHP minimum food delivery purchase. Instead, they will be charging 40PHP as their standard delivery price, no matter how many or how much you ordered from them. Hurray! Don't worry because they will not be implementing the 10% delivery charge anymore.
So the breakdown would be: your order total amount + 40PHP delivery charge
